While our initial information about Stokes came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Stokes in various books, maps and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Stokes. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: When we started collecting data about Stokes, we were inconsistent about keeping track of where that data came from. As a result, this list of references and mentions is probably incomplete.
