Welcome to Pansy ...

So far, we found very little information about Pansy. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Pansy to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Pansy - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Pansy, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Pansy , we believe that it would have been located within present day Attala County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Pansy, you might consider that their post office opened in 1896.

Time Zone: The area where Pansy was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 9 communities that are also named Pansy - they are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Manitoba, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.

Adding Pansy to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Pansy was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Pansy post office opened in 1896.

We also found Pansy on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Mississippi (1911).
