Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Magee had an population of 4,097 people. This is a decrease of 7.06% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 2.45% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Magee had a population of 4,408 people (which is 16.03% of the total population of Simpson County). This makes Magee the county's most populous community.

The population of Magee represents 0.15% of the population of Mississippi (which has 2,967,297 people), making it the state's 69th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 4,408 people, the population of Magee increased 4.95% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 4,200 people).
