While our initial information about Summit came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Summit in various books, maps and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Summit. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: Initially, we were careless about keeping track of where our Summit data came from. The following list of references and mentions is incomplete.

A note taken from the Shipper's Guide for Summit:
Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, a Railroad Station, an Express Office

Map from 1904 (unknown title/publisher)

Summit is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>
