The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Summit to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Summit - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Summit, please Contact Us. While we don't have the exact location of Summit , we believe that it would have been located within present day Callaway County<2>. When the people of Summit referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used Summitite<3> Time Zone: The area where Summit was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time If Summit still existed, it would have been in the (573) area code. Communities Also Named Summit ...While we believe that this Summit is located in Callaway County, we know of another 2 Missouri communities named Summit. Those communities are located in the following counties: Macon and Washington County.
