Welcome to Shaver ...

So far, we found very little information about Shaver. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Shaver to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Shaver - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Shaver, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Shaver , we believe that it would have been located within present day Benton County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Shaver, you might consider that their post office opened in 1885.

Time Zone: The area where Shaver was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Communities Also Named Shaver ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 2 communities that are also named Shaver - they are located in Arkansas and Iowa.

Adding Shaver to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Shaver was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Shaver post office opened in 1885.
