From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Plum Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

X2X - From that list, the Plum Valley post office opened in 1858.

We also found Plum Valley in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
