Welcome to Mudville ...

So far, we found very little information about Mudville. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Mudville to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Mudville - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Mudville, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Mudville , we believe that it would have been located within present day Phelps County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Mudville, you might consider that their post office opened in 1903.

We originally found mention of Mudville in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Mudville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

X2X - From that list, the Mudville post office opened in 1903.

We also found Mudville on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1904.
