While we don't have a date for the founding of Lupus, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1884.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Lupus had an population of 34 people. This is an increase of 3.03% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 17.24% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Lupus had a population of 33 people. This makes Lupus the county's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 33 people, the population of Lupus increased 13.79% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 29 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lupus was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Lupus post office opened in 1884.

We also found Lupus in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
