So far, we have found very little information about Iona. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We believe that Iona was located in Cape Girardeau County, we don't know its actual location within the county.

We've added Iona to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Iona, we believe that it would have been located within present day Cape Girardeau County.
