So far, we found very little information about El Paso. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

El Paso would have been located within present day Barry County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of El Paso, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1886.

When the people of El Paso referred to themselves (known as a demonym), they are believed to have used El Pasoan<3>

While the community is gone, the present day location for El Paso is 1,460 feet [445 m] above sea level.<4>.
