From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Cross Timbers was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

X2X - From that list, the Cross Timbers post office opened in 1847.

We also found Cross Timbers in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
