While we don't have the exact location of Colemanville , we believe that it would have been located within present day Carter County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Colemanville, you might consider that their post office opened in 1872.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Colemanville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Colemanville post office opened in 1872.
