From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Friesland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Friesland post office opened in 1896.

We also found Friesland mentioned on a train schedule titled Greyhound Bus Time Table (November 1931).
