Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Michigan communities named Hardy: This one is located in Alcona County and the other is located in Oscoda County.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Hardy was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<2>

From that list, the Hardy post office opened in 1909.
