Miscellaneous References and Mentions

While our initial information about Cambria came from various goverment sources (GNIS, FIPS), we also found mention of Cambria in various books, maps and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Cambria. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: Initially, we were careless about keeping track of where our Cambria data came from. The following list of references and mentions is incomplete.

Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895)
Published by Rand McNally & Co.

A note taken from the Shipper's Guide for Cambria:
Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, no Railroad mentioned

U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846)
Published by John T. Towers

Rand McNally Map of Michigan (1911)

Cambria is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

Both the GNIS and FIPS databases contain entries for Cambria. See our Misc Page for Cambria for more information.
