The Atlas had details such as the population of the community (which appears to have come from the 1890 Census) and whether there was a post office and/or railroad service available. Over time, we will continue to add communities that we find during our research.

The Rand McNally Atlas shows that East Machias had a population of 750 people in 1895 with a post office and no railroad service. In 2020, East Machias had a population of 1,305 people.
