The location of Crystal has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Crystal, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Crystal has a population of 249 people<3> (see below for details).

Crystal is 510 feet [155 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: Crystal lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Note: If you travel east from Crystal (for example, toward Northampton Parish (NB)), you will leave Eastern Time and cross into the Atlantic Time Zone (AST/ADT).

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Crystal had an population of 249 people. This is a decrease of 7.43% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 12.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Crystal had a population of 269 people. This makes Crystal the county's 45th most populous community.

The population of Crystal represents 0.02% of the population of Maine (which has 1,328,361 people), making it the state's 416th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 269 people, the population of Crystal decreased 5.61% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 285 people).
