So far, we found very little information about Mattakeset. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Mattakeset to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Mattakeset , we believe that it would have been located within present day Plymouth County<2>.

Time Zone: The area where Mattakeset was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Massachusetts communities named Mattakeset: This one is located in Plymouth County and the other is located in Barnstable County.
