From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for East Whately was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the East Whately post office opened in 1833.

We also found East Whately in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
