The community of Cambridge is the Seat for Middlesex County.
Middlesex County is one of the original counties of Massachusetts and was founded in 1643.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Middlesex had a population of 1,611,263 people. This is an increase of 7.2% since the last Census (which gave a population of 1,503,085 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Middlesex represented 22.96% of the total population of Massachusetts.

- The GenDisasters website specializes in newspaper articles about tragedies and disasters. While it makes interesting reading all by itself, it should be of special interest to genealogists and family historians looking for people who were either affected by or directly involved in such tragedies.
