From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Moore was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Moore post office opened in 1904.

We also found Moore on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Louisiana (1911).
