From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hill was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Hill post office opened in 1896.

We also found Hill on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Louisiana (1911).
