How Far From Bryceland to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a village such as Bryceland to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance<4> beginning in Bryceland and extending to:
- Arcadia, which is the Seat of Bienville Parish, lies just to the North Northeast.
- Baton Rouge, which is the State Capital of Louisiana, lies 175 miles [281.6 km]<4> to the southeast (SE). If you could drive a straight line from Bryceland to Baton Rouge, with an average speed<5>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take about three hours to make the trip.
