From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Redbird was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Redbird post office opened in 1898.

We also found Redbird on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Kentucky (1911).
