Campbell County was founded in 1794. Campbell was created by taking area from Harrison, Mason and Scott Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Campbell had a population of 93,841 people. This is an increase of 3.88% since the last Census (which gave a population of 90,336 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Campbell represented 2.08% of the total population of Kentucky.
