Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Vining had an population of 42 people. This is a decrease of 6.67% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 27.59% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Vining had a population of 45 people. This makes Vining the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 45 people, the population of Vining decreased 22.41% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 58 people).

We originally found mention of Vining in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Vining was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Vining post office opened in 1881.

We also found Vining in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
