Welcome to Ratclif ...

So far, we found very little information about Ratclif. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Ratclif to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Ratclif - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Ratclif, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Ratclif , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hodgeman County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Ratclif, you might consider that their post office opened in 1885.

Time Zone: The area where Ratclif was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Ratclif would have been located in the (620) area code.

Communities Also Named Ratclif ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Kansas communities named Ratclif: This one is located in Hodgeman County and the other is located in Gray County.

Beyond Kansas, there are 8 communities that are also named Ratclif - they are located in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas (3).

Adding Ratclif to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Ratclif was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Ratclif post office opened in 1885.
