So far, we found very little information about Prattburg. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Prattburg , we believe that it would have been located within present day Edwards County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Prattburg, you might consider that their post office opened in 1878.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Kansas communities named Prattburg: This one is located in Edwards County and the other is located in Stafford County.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Prattburg was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Prattburg post office opened in 1878.

We also found Prattburg on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Kansas (1911).
