So far, we found very little information about Pleasant Dale. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Pleasant Dale , we believe that it would have been located within present day Rush County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Pleasant Dale, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1878.

Adding Pleasant Dale to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Pleasant Dale was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Pleasant Dale post office opened in 1878.

We also found Pleasant Dale in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
