While we don't have a date for the founding of Logan, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

The origin (or the toponymy) of Logan: Named for John Alexander Logan (1826-1886), a Union Army General during the American Civil War and a U.S. Senator from Illinois (IL).

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Logan has a population of 537 people<2> (see below for details).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Logan had a population of 589 people (or 10.44% of the total population of Phillips County). This makes Logan the county's 2nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 589 people, the population of Logan decreased 2.32% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 603 people).
