Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Junction City had an population of 469 people. This is a decrease of 2.7% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 16.1% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Junction City had a population of 482 people. This makes Junction City the county's 9th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 482 people, the population of Junction City decreased 13.77% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 559 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Junction City was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Junction City post office opened in 1914.
