Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Banner had an population of 182 people. This is a decrease of 3.7% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 22.15% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Banner had a population of 189 people. This makes Banner the county's 17th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 189 people, the population of Banner increased 26.85% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 149 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Banner was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Banner post office opened in 1874.

We also found Banner in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
