The community of Sandpoint is the Seat for Bonner County.
Bonner County was founded in 1907 and was created by taking area from Kootenai County.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Bonner had a population of 45,774 people. This is an increase of 11.98% since the last Census (which gave a population of 40,877 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Bonner represented 2.61% of the total population of Idaho.
