From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Woden was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Woden post office opened in 1888.

We also found Woden on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Iowa (1911).
