So far, we found very little information about Secor. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Secor would have been located within present day Hardin County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Secor, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1883.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Secor is 940 feet [287 m] above sea level.<3>.

We originally found mention of Secor in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Secor was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

We also found Secor in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
