Green Bay would have been located within present day Clarke County<2>.



While we don't have a date for the founding of Green Bay, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1861.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Green Bay is 1,140 feet [347 m] above sea level.<3>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Green Bay was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Green Bay post office opened in 1861.

We also found Green Bay in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
