So far, we found very little information about Big Woods. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Big Woods , we believe that it would have been located within present day Jones County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Big Woods, you might consider that their post office opened in 1846.

Time Zone: The area where Big Woods was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
