So far, we found very little information about Zula. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Zula would have been located within present day Chattooga County<2>.
The location of Zula has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>
While we don't have a date for the founding of Zula, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Zula is 650 feet [198 m] above sea level.<4>.
Time Zone: The area where Zula was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time
Note: If you travel west from Zula (for example, toward Fort Payne (AL)), you will leave Eastern Time and cross into the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
If Zula still existed, it would have been in the (706) & (762)<5> area codes.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Zula was in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
We also found Zula on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1899.
