Welcome to Rancher ...

So far, we found very little information about Rancher. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Rancher to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Rancher - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Rancher, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Rancher , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hall County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Rancher, you might consider that their post office opened in 1853.

Time Zone: The area where Rancher was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Adding Rancher to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Rancher was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Rancher post office opened in 1853.

We also found Rancher on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1865.
