Welcome to Oculus ...So far, we found very little information about Oculus. The location of Oculus has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Oculus, you might consider that their post office opened in 1900. While the community is gone, the present day location for Oculus is 1,560 feet [475 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Oculus was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time If Oculus still existed, it would have been in the (706) and (762)<5> area codes.
