So far, we found very little information about Oconee Mills. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Oconee Mills , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hall County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Oconee Mills, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Oconee Mills was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Oconee Mills post office opened in 1884.

We also found Oconee Mills in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
