The Commemorative Quarter for Georgia

Welcome to Hudgins ...

So far, we found very little information about Hudgins. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Hudgins to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Hudgins - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Hudgins, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Hudgins , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hall County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Hudgins, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1911.

Time Zone: The area where Hudgins was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Hudgins would have been located in the (770) area code.

Adding Hudgins to Our Gazetteer ...

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Hudgins was on a map titled Map of Georgia (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Hudgins on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1915.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Hudgins, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of Georgia's counties, including Hall, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
