Welcome to Neptune ...

So far, we found very little information about Neptune. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Neptune to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Neptune - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Neptune, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Neptune , we believe that it would have been located within present day Palm Beach County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Neptune, you might consider that their post office opened in 1895.

Time Zone: The area where Neptune was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

Communities Also Named Neptune ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 8 communities that are also named Neptune - they are located in Iowa, Louisiana, Ohio, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Adding Neptune to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Neptune was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Neptune post office opened in 1895.
