So far, we found very little information about Heidtville. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Heidtville , we believe that it would have been located within present day Marion County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Heidtville, you might consider that their post office opened in 1884.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Heidtville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Heidtville post office opened in 1884.
