At the time of the 2010 Census, Bradenton had a population of 49,546 people (or 15.32% of the total population of Manatee County). This makes Bradenton the county's most populous community.

The population of Bradenton represents 0.26% of the total population of Florida (which has 18,801,310 people), making it the state's 52nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 49,546 people, the population of Bradenton has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 49,504 people).
