Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Clinton had an population of 12,927 people. This is a decrease of 2.51% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 1.28% since the 2000 Census).
At the time of the 2010 Census, the Town of Clinton had a population of 13,260 people (or 8.01% of the total population of Middlesex County). This makes Clinton the county's 4th most populous community.
The population of Clinton represents 0.37% of the population of Connecticut (which has 3,574,097 people), making it the state's 100th most populous community.
With a 2010 count of 13,260 people, the population of Clinton increased 1.27% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 13,094 people).
