We aren't confident of the location of Pieplant, so consider the above location as an estimate.<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Pieplant, you might consider that their post office opened in 1904. While the community is gone, the present day location for Pieplant is 10,300 feet [3,139 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Pieplant is about 2 miles [or ~3¼ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Pieplant was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Pieplant still existed, it would have been in the (970) area code.
