The location of Gladstone has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Gladstone, you might consider that their post office opened in 1878. While the community is gone, the present day location for Gladstone is 10,500 feet [3,200 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Gladstone is about 2 miles [or ~3¼ km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Gladstone was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Gladstone still existed, it would have been in the (970) area code.
