Welcome to Whiskeytown ...So far, we found very little information about Whiskeytown. The community was inundated by the Whiskeytown Reservoir in 1962. While the community is gone, the present day location for Whiskeytown is 1,280 feet [390 m] above sea level.<3>. Time Zone: The area where Whiskeytown was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time If Whiskeytown still existed, it would have been in the (530) area code. The community of Whiskeytown was previously named Schilling. Before Schilling, it was named Stella. Going back to its beginning, Whiskeytown was originally named Whiskey Creek.
